Methodist Women in Britain is a movement within the Methodist Church, led by a group of volunteers and funded by donations, which aims to connect women with an interest in creative spirituality and a passion for global social justice. We hold day conferences and residential events, produce printed and online resources and engage in social justice campaigns. MWiB is about more than Methodism, more than women and more than Britain – we have strong links with the World Church, and are part of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women.

MWiB   -         Westbúry-on-Trym Methodist Church

The aim of Methodist Women in Britain is to encourage and equip women to participate fully in the life of the church and society and support the work of the World Church.

Within our church in Westbury-on- Trym several events throughout the year are held for this purpose. In August MWiB supported the proposed Property Development at our Church by holding a Victorian Tea Party which was well supported.

The Harvest Festival Lunch in September, shared by the church family was followed in November by a Family Fun Event with the larger community catered for.

The New Year fund raisers are a Jumble Sale, giving at Easter to the Easter Offering Envelope scheme for the World Church and an Education evening to be held on March 18 th . This year the money raised from this event will be given to Bristol Network Project Fund which is supporting Bibles for Children, a National Charity that presents Bibles to children in the UK Primary Schools and is aimed at helping the children of today to become better citizens of tomorrow.

The committee wishes to thanks all members of our congregation who have continued to support MWiB’s effort throughout the past year. 2015/16

MWiB in WOT raised £2,077.13 for World Mission.
