Christians are those who believe that God is revealed in Jesus Christ and affirm Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Jesus, the Son of God is the fulfilment of the Scriptures. He shared our human experience, was betrayed and crucified to death but then rose again bringing us victory over death and opening the gate to everlasting life. Christians live in communion with God and in the power of the Holy Spirit and play their part in his Church. They are committed to be disciples and witnesses of Jesus and to lead a life of worship, prayer, Bible study and service.
At the heart of the Methodist community is a deep sense of the place of welcome, hospitality and openness which demonstrates the nature of God’s grace and forgiveness for all people as part of God’s creation. Our church is called to be a place where the transformational love of God is embodied within the community and life in all its fullness is offered to all people both in times of joy and sorrow.
